Food Safety Emergency Response Plan (FSERP) of the Food Safety and Quality Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia is to set out a framework for initiating a response to a large scale of food safety crisis.
This FSERP sets out procedures to be followed in the event of a serious food safety risk being detected in the food chain. It also sets out measures to be implemented without delay when food is found to pose a serious risk to consumers, either directly or through the environment.
This plan specifies the administrative authorities to be engaged, their powers and responsibilities, channels and procedures for sharing information between the relevant parties.
