Garis panduan ini disediakan untuk memberi panduan dan penerangan kepada industri makanan, pihak berkuasa dan pengguna mengenai rujukan silang di antara komoditi makanan di bawah PPM 1985 dengan kategori makanan di bawah Codex GSFA dan Codex Commodity Standard bagi mendapatkan maklumat mengenai aditif makanan yang dibenarkan selaras dengan peruntukan aditif makanan yang merujuk kepada standard Codex.
